Bill Matteucci, How One Veteran's Mission Raised $18,000 for Heroes

Family Stores to Flying Flags: A Montana Native's Patriotic Journey

Bill grew up in Big Sky Country, Great Falls, MT. After serving in the military and graduating college, he joined his family's business founded by his grandfather in the 1890s. The company expanded its grocery and drug stores throughout Montana, to Idaho, Washington, and Wyoming.

After visiting a few times, Bill and his wife, Sandee, moved to PebbleCreek. Sandee's sister, Patti, followed suit, and the three of them remain a faithful team.

As a proud Navy veteran and PebbleCreek resident, Bill Matteucci believes that flying the flag is a powerful way to express love and respect for our great nation. Through his inspiring project, Flags Flying Across America, Bill has installed more than 550 U.S. flags on our community's golf carts.

In just two years, PebbleCreek residents (affectionately known as "Creekers") have rallied behind Bill's cause, generating over $18,000 for Tunnels to Towers, T2T.org. Ninety-five percent of T2T donations benefit first responder programs. These funds help pay off mortgages as well as medical costs for fallen law enforcement officers, firefighters, and veterans.

The project's motto is "Flag, Patriotism, and Country."

To schedule a flag installation or learn more about this All-American project, please email Bill at flags.flying3@gmail.com. Please put FLAG in the subject line!
